Jag är ju en gammal twee-skalle och twee-pop är fortfarande bland det bästa jag vet. Tyvärr är det en genre som det inte händer så jättemycket spännande i nowadays. Men bland undantagen av fantastisk twee-pop (eller vilken benämning ni väljer) som kommit de senaste åren lyser Allo Darlin' allra starkast.
Tidigare i år kom den fantastiska singeln "Darren" och nu har jag nåtts av spåret "Tallulah" i form av videon ovan.

The album, recorded at different stages during the year and slated to come out in the spring, is very different from their first given the changes in the world since their debut in 2009. There have been riots in the streets of London and there is a sense that people are unhappy, so a carefree album didn’t seem appropriate, as Elizabeth explains: “I wanted to make beautiful songs and end up with a beautiful album, not necessarily an album of three minute pop songs… I suppose the songs have an awareness of a darker place but end up coming out the other side. We wanted to make the best album we possibly could and I think we've ended up with that.”
Det blir inte lätt för dem att göra än bättre skiva än den självbetitlade debuten från förra året. Men kommer den bara i närheten så blir jag mer än nöjd.
